Artist Statement
"Whisper of Love" is a composition rich in contrasts, and when viewers gaze at the work long enough to fully engage with the painting, it evokes memory and story. At the heart of my art lies a desire to connect with people. I use symbols and colour to evoke emotions of happiness and sorrow, vitality and decay, passion, and transience. The painting exudes beauty, embodying the breathtaking and the heartbreaking, but most profoundly, love, peace, and hope.
 
Measures 61cm x 45cm x 3.5cm deep (30 x 20), and is ready to hang.
The painting comes without a frame on a deep 3.5cm (1.4 inch) depth canvas, which is painted around the sides for continuation of the image which creates depth.
 
Twelve layers of oil paint to create the depth in this painting, and 320 hours of painting time - whew!
 
Materials: Premium Winsor & Newton Artist oil paint . The paints A and AA ratings aid in the longevity of the paints, and will last well over 75 years.  The canvas is made from 100% cotton with a tight, even weave and is coated with a quality gesso primer.
