Meet Jack, a gorgeous kiwi bird hatched at Pūkaha Wildlife Centre.
Pūkaha runs a captive breeding programme for kiwi, hatching and raising chicks as part of the Operation Nest Egg initiative.
The young birds are held in kiwi creches where they are weighed, fed, and looked after until they are strong enough to be released into the wild at around 1,200 grams.
My painting of this dear little kiwi bird is designed to be cherished, to bring a smile, and to be a special piece in your home.
