Narrative:
“Art can be a voice for our disconnect from nature and I believe I have a responsibility to raise issues and challenge assumptions and thinking."
"The Last Stand" calls for all citizens around the world to stand up and demand that Governments sign global treaties to protect our planet.
Antarctica and the Arctic Ocean are in trouble. As some of the most pristine and fragile places left on our planet, we must protect them now.
My painting uses humour, symbolic imagery, and a playful stylised approach to convey important messages about pollution, corporate greed, habitat and species loss, and emissions that add to the climate crisis.
As part of a collection of environmental narrative paintings, my work aims to address these problems and is a call for action.
My environmental collection of paintings has been recognised with a Special Recognition Art Award (2024) from The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS ("HPAA"), for bringing positive change to the world.
This is something I am incredibly proud of, and I'd like to give special thanks to Renee Phillips founder of HPAA for this Award.
Thank you for generating the same conversations in your home and for supporting a living artist!
