“Temptation” - one of those "wow" paintings that celebrates nature, and it's intent is to spread love, hope, happiness and joy to those who view it. It took me over 300 hours to paint these flowers, as there are over 10 layers of oil paint on this canvas. Definitely a labour of love, but I'm overjoyed with the result.
Some of my favourite flowers have been placed together to make a harmonious melody of colour. These luscious creations are full of exuberance that form a floral tapestry. Here are the words I wrote specifically for “Temptation”.
“There are no stray pathways or thorns under feet,
soft, gentle, fragrant, sweet.
Leading me to inner quiet and peace,
I lay down with beauty impressed on my cheek.
Gentle, quiet, spirit,
calming, beautiful, unique.
You are my temptation to linger in your purity.”
Measures 760 x 760 mm deep (30 x 30 inches), and is ready to hang.
The painting comes without a frame on a deep 3.5cm (1.4 inch) depth canvas, which is painted around the sides for continuation of the image to create depth.

Materials: Premium Artist Oil paint and pastel is used to ensure that the colours are clean, bright and light-steadfast. The paints A and AA ratings aid in the longevity of the paints, and will last well over 75 years. The canvas is made from 100% cotton with a tight, even weave and is coated with a quality gesso primer.
