This kiwi bird is named Pepper who was born in early 2025.
Painting narrative: Siblings captures a quiet moment at the very beginning of life. The scene speaks to the tenderness and curiosity that often surrounds these first moments, when the world is still new and full of wonder.
Looking on is a pūriri moth. These moths live for only a few days, their brief lives devoted to laying eggs and continuing the cycle of life. Their presence in the painting is a symbol of how life in nature is both fragile and enduring.
The print measures 21 cm square (8.26 inches) and is unframed.
