Narrative: The Roroa/Great Spotted Kiwi are ‘Nationally vulnerable’ and face a high risk of extinction. There are currently around 14,000 roroa living in 3 main populations in New Zealand’s South Island, and this species is thought to be declining at a rate of 1.6% each year.
Although I haven't had the privilege of seeing one in person, I created this artwork so that the kiwi faced the light with speckles of stars falling on it, as a symbol of hope.
I hope you love my creation. 💚

Materials
200gsm Matte paper
Printed on 100% cotton with a smooth texture that allows for a beautiful traditional watercolour look and feel, whilst still reproducing pin-sharp details and colour consistency. The paper has the purest white tone available on the market, without any Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs). Optical Brightening Agents are artificial brighteners that deteriorate over time.
Ink: Archival UltraChrome Pro ink that provides superior colour accuracy and archival image stability. The ink is UV light resistant. Archival inks last up to 200 years, and are fade resistant.
Photographs are an indication of what the artworks could look like and are not the exact size of the artworks. Other items in the photograph are not included.
