Narrative

What are Fiordland Penguins and a polar bear doing on top of the Putangirua Pinnacles?  Is the stage set for them to go the way of the dinosaurs? Are they washed up with nowhere to go, their habitat lost, or can we protect our wildlife and natural environment?

This artwork is representative of the environmental themes that underlie my work. Imagery, colour, and composition are my tools that allow me to deliver powerful messages on how we treat the world we inhabit.  This painting is rendered in a light-hearted way but deals with the serious subject of climate change, habitat and species loss. In order to assist NZ Forest and Bird, 10% of the profit will be donated to this organisation. Thank you for your support.

Original oil on canvas measures 76 cm x 50.5 cm x 2 cm deep (30 wide x 20 inches high) and is professionally framed by Lewis Paape Gallery.
