Story
I captured a few photos of the Korimako whilst at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre in Mt Bruce Wairarapa.  It has a beautiful melodic sound, and this particular bird was very inquisitive, allowing me to take multiple shots of it, as it followed me around.
 
You may notice there is a white gestural brush mark in the left hand corner of the work.  This is a piece of plastic around the branch of the tree.  I left this in the artwork deliberately to show that plastic pollution can be found everywhere.
 
The painting measures 33.5cm wide x 26cm long (13" x 10"), and is professionally framed by Lewis Paape Gallery, Wellington.
