Story
The success of predator controls that have enabled Ruru to hunt around many suburbs in Wellington.  They love my local riverbank, and perching on rooftops and chimneys.
 
Their soft brown woven plumage gives them an interesting look, and unlike other owls their eyes are nicely framed, with a slightly surprised, humourous look.
 
Measures 15cm square (6 x 6") x 3.5cm deep. The artwork is ready to hang.
