Narrative: These kiwi birds were released into the wild in March 2026.  From left to right their names are Bali, Mali (chick of the white kiwi Mapuna) and Jack.
 
These gorgeous chicks are a joy to paint, and are a small reminder of the charm and resilience of Aotearoa’s wildlife, thanks to the work of our Rangers, wildlife staff and volunteers.
