If you require insurance on the transportation of your artwork, the packaging is required to be completed offsite by an expert.
Insurance is optional and a quote will be provided upon request. All shipping from the Artist to the Buyer will be sent via tracked courier that must be signed by the Buyer upon receipt of the artwork in undamaged condition.
If you do not require insurance, I can package up the artwork myself. I use acid free tissue to wrap the artwork and two to three layers of bubble-wrap. This will be placed in a cardboard box.
Damaged artwork that is insured
In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged from the courier, I will work with the shipping company and the Buyer to have the artwork shipped back for a full refund minus any shipping costs incurred by the Artist. See Terms and Conditions.
Damaged artwork that is uninsured
In the unlikely event that uninsured artwork arrives damaged from the courier, I will work with the shipping company to see what actions can be taken should the shipping company be at fault. The Buyer is responsible for making a note that the packaging is damaged when signing for the artwork and will take photographs of the damaged packaging and damaged artwork . Shipping times depend on where the Buyer is located and whether you are purchasing an original artwork or limited edition print.
For original artworks on canvas, please note I will ship these out as soon as payment from you has cleared. Please allow three working days for packaging plus courier time (see General Shipping times below).
For giclee prints please allow:
One week for the printing on paper, and two weeks for printing on canvas.
If you wish for your limited edition canvas to be stretched, please allow an extra week.
Add three days for the work to be packaged plus delivery time .
General Shipping times
New Zealand - courier deliveries after packaging are normally 5 days within New Zealand.
International - courier deliveries after packaging are 2-14 days depending on the destination and time it takes to clear customs. In some countries, the customs clearing process may take longer. Please check your government's international shipping policies for more detailed information.
The Artist will ensure the artwork is packaged well for transportation and is not responsible for damage to the artwork(s) once it has been sent for delivery. The Artist is not responsible for damage to the artwork(s) once it has been received by the buyer. The Artist is not responsible for damage to the artwork(s) when the buyer has the artwork(s) stretched or framed by a third party.
If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase you have seven days to contact me to make me aware of your intent to return the work for a refund. If you decide to return the work you will be required to repackage the work in its original packing and to make arrangements to have it sent back to me in the same condition as it was sent to be eligible to receive a refund. The buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping and insurance in returning the artwork. Giclee prints are not eligible for a refund.
