Inspired by the natural environment of New Zealand, my artwork explores themes about the tenacity of life in the face of environmental destruction.
As part of my wetland series this artwork evokes my dismay at the loss of New Zealand’s wetlands. These are one of New Zealand’s most important habitats, however over the last 200 years they have almost been wiped out with fewer than 10% remaining. This artwork acts as a narrative for my protest against the destruction of our wetlands.
