Puawai is my first image of a series I'm working on that infuses my artwork with the influence of Maori culture. As a 5th generation New Zealander my ancesters came into Wellington harbour in 1843. This artwork is a story about my ancestors journey once they landed in Petone. The artwork is called Puāwai, which means to bloom, come to fruition, open out (of a flower).
Unframed Limited edition giclee prints on Ilford cotton smooth rag are available, and the artwork will fit a 8 x 12" frame. This is a small edition run of 15 and will arrive in an acid free enclosure to protect the work. It comes with a certificate of authenticity that is signed by the artist.
Photographs are an indication of what the artworks could look like and are not the exact size of the artworks. Other items in the photograph are not included.
