Measures 600 mm round and is painted on FSC certified sustainable timber. I use Winsor & Newton professional oil paint to ensure that the colours are clean, bright and light-steadfast. The paints A and AA ratings aid in the longevity of the paints, and will last well over 75 years. It is painted around the sides for continuation of depth.
“Kisses from afar” is painted to let you feel nature and the optimism we can feel with the summer breeze on our faces. The plumbago flower symbolises hope, good wishes, prosperity, goodness, and well-being. Tossed in the air, it is painted to portray our thoughts of those we love, wherever they may be.
It is complemented by a poem, specifically written for the painting, which weaved its way between my thoughts and the brush.
