Narrative: I spent some unforgettable moments with several juvenile kiwi at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre earlier this year, and it truly opened my heart.

These little guys face so many challenges in the wild, but places like Pūkaha give them the best chance to grow strong and safe before they’re released into the wild.  This painting is my tribute to those brave newborn kiwis and the incredible work being done to protect them.  💚
